Community grants

We help charities in our branch network area and other parts of the West Midlands through a grant scheme, the Mercian Community Trust. This is funded by our Community Account and administered in partnership with the Diocese of Lichfield.

Grants are targeted at charitable causes associated with issues such as ill health, social wellbeing, disability, vulnerable children, bereavement and domestic violence. Contributions range from a few hundred to several thousand pounds and make a real difference to the work of the beneficiaries.

Among the recipients is the Birmingham women’s refuge Roshni, which received a grant of £3,000 to help create a new children’s play area, as well as volunteer support from West Brom staff to redecorate its headquarters.
