The Society wins big with two mortgage awards

This week we’re celebrating the high-profile recognition we’ve received from the annual Financial Adviser’s Service Awards and Mortgage Finance Gazette Awards.

These two award wins recognise and reward our high levels of customer satisfaction, while consistently offering good value products and services our members need. This is even more important given the difficult circumstances we have faced this year, and is a huge testament to the hard work of colleagues across the business.

Another five star year

For the third year in a row, we have earned a top five star rating in the Financial Adviser Service Awards, a score made all the more meaningful by the fact that it is based purely on feedback from the intermediaries themselves.

The Financial Adviser Service Awards benchmark service levels across the industry, reviewing performance on areas such as the ease of doing business, their product support, relationship management, flexibility of lending policy and their digital systems.

Recognised for our Mortgage products

At the Mortgage Finance Gazette awards, the Society is extremely proud to have received the Best Regional Building Society award.

The awards recognise best product providers over the last 12 months. As part of the criteria, they consider interest rates and fees on a range of loan-to-value bands, covering fixed, variable and discounted products. They also consider the consistency of competitive offerings over the space of the year.

James Wright, our Divisional Director Marketing & Intermediary Distribution, believes success is down to a range of factors.

“Those factors are very much a team effort, where ease of doing business is a necessity, as well as our continued focus on delivering professional relationship management, efficient mortgage processing, lending policy, competitive products, effective marketing and digital facilities, to name but a few.

“However, it’s important to highlight that this success isn’t down to any one team or department. Generating mortgages from the intermediary market involves a wide range of people and business areas. Each area has a key part to play in delivering exceptional outcomes so that intermediaries rate us highly and continue to submit business.”
