Mercian Trust Grant

For the last 10 years, through the Mercian Community Trust, a partnership between the Society and the Diocese of Lichfield, we have been able to support community groups and charitable causes with generous donations and grants to help towards their amazing causes.

Every grant, no matter the amount will make a difference to each charity, and we are proud to be able to make that positive difference.

So far this year we have supported the following:

Ironbridge Museum Trust in Shropshire, with a £500 grant which has helped fund their Madeley Wood Company outdoor adventure project. The Trust has developed a brand new family attraction in the woodlands at Blists Hills Victoria. The open air museum takes visitors and school groups back in time to the year 1900 to experience a typical Victorian industrial town.

Sandwell Multicare with a £1000 grant which will help the charity to continue to support both children and adults with severe learning disabilities and additional difficulties. The charity has used the donation to build a wooden pergola in the garden of their holiday bungalow in Skegness. Situated near the beach, their service users and their families can come for a long weekend break or holiday to relax and enjoy the fresh air and garden views.
