Are there any types of property you don't lend on?
We'll consider most property types other than:
- Farms and smallholdings
- Grade 1 listed buildings
- Agricultural tie or restricted properties
- Freehold flats and maisonettes
- Live / work units
- Mobile homes
- River boats
- Properties with 10 or more acres of land
- Low cost housing/restricted resale covenant schemes
- Sheltered housing and properties with restricted age for the occupants
- Holiday lets
- Flats with deck access
- Back to Back property built before 1980
- Properties in extreme or high risk flood risk areas
- Flats above 4 storeys with no lift access (number of storeys is assessed from ground level)
- Flats above shops / retail units unless very high quality
- Properties with a mineral felt flat roof that forms 100% of the total roof area of the property
- Pre 1965 timber frame
- Timber frame with timber outer leaf
- Pre 1990 steel frame houses and bungalows
- Semi Commercial Property that attracts business rates and would need modification
- Flats converted from former office industrial buildings
As a minimum requirement, all properties must have a bathroom, internal WC, mains services and kitchen.
