Staff Plan a Brilliant Brew for Charity

The West Brom will be hosting tea parties to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Staff at the West Brom are hoping to raise a tasty sum for Marie Curie Cancer Care by serving up tea and cakes.

The Society will be hosting "Blooming Great Tea Parties" on Friday, 19 July throughout its branch network and at its West Bromwich head office.

The proceeds will go towards Marie Curie's vital work caring for terminally ill people in their own homes and in the charity's nine hospices.

"Holding a Blooming Great Tea Party is a fun way to get together with friends, family or colleagues and raise money to support Marie Curie Cancer Care."

Arun Sharma, Marie Curie Cancer Care's Head of Corporate Fundraising, said: "Holding a Blooming Great Tea Party is a fun way to get together with friends, family or colleagues and raise money to support Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Every pound raised will help Marie Curie Nurses provide more free care to people with terminal illnesses in their own homes in local communities.

We really appreciate the West Brom and its customers taking part and giving their support."

Marie Curie expects its supporters to host around 7,000 Blooming Great Tea Parties across the UK this summer, raising an estimated £750,000 and helping to fund 37,500 hours of nursing care.
