Staff at the West Brom building society will be pulling on their favourite Christmas jumpers as they host a series of festive cake and coffee days in support of Edward’s Trust.
Branches throughout the West Midlands are staging Care for a Cake events on Friday, 11 December, with all proceeds going towards the charity, which provides bereavement support for parents, children and carers in the region.
Jim King, the West Brom’s Communications Manager, said: “Edward’s Trust is our charity of the year and we hope our always generous customers will pop in for a slice of cake and a cuppa to help us raise a seasonal sum for this very worthy cause.
“With Christmas fast-approaching, it’s a lovely way to generate a little festive spirit while taking a moment to think about the difficulties and challenges of others.”
Stephanie Bradbury, Head of Fundraising at Edward’s Trust, said: “To receive the support of the West Brom and its customers is a huge boost and we can’t thank the branch staff enough for supporting us through the Care for a Cake initiative.
“Any financial support we receive is invaluable and enables us continue to provide the very best support and care for people who have suffered bereavement.”
The West Brom has 37 branches at locations across Birmingham and the Black Country and in parts of Shropshire and mid-Wales. Find your local branch by using our online branch finder.
Please note that Harborne and Oswestry will be hosting their cake and coffee days on Friday, 18 December and Stourbridge has already held one.
