Walsall FC fans will have the chance to celebrate the start of the new season and get up close and personal to two of their star players at a branch of a leading regional building society.
Defenders Rico Henry and Paul Downing will be present at the West Brom on Bridge Street in Walsall town centre between 2pm and 3pm on Thursday, 20 August.
Fans will have the chance to meet and have their pictures taken with the duo, as well as collect autographs.
During the visit, the players will receive a special payment of £10,822 on behalf of the club donated by the West Brom to support youth development.
The money comes from the annual proceeds of the Saddlers Super Saver affinity account, the exclusive savings account which is only available to supporters of the Banks’s Stadium club.
Branch Manager Lorraine Standring said: “We can’t wait to welcome Rico and Paul to the branch and it’s a great opportunity for fans to come down and meet two key players from the squad.
“After reaching Wembley for the first time in the club’s history last year and an exciting start to the season, it’s a great time to be a Walsall fan and, as a building society with strong community links, we are delighted to be showing our support for the club.”
