Residents of Sutton Coldfield are being given the chance to learn more about managing their money for retirement at an open day this month.
Independent financial advisers from Wren Sterling will be visiting the Sutton Coldfield branch of the West Brom building society on Tuesday, 12 July to help unravel some of the mysteries behind pensions, financial planning and investments.
The advisers are available throughout the day for an informal chat about an individual’s financial position, including the potential impact the UK’s decision to leave the EU may have on personal finances.
Rachael Jones, retail manager of the Sutton Coldfield branch, which is located on The Parade, is hoping the event will make understanding pensions a little less daunting for the general public.
She said: “Pensions, and financial matters in general, can be a complicated subject and our aim through this event is to remove some of the confusion. This is an opportunity for people to have a relaxed conversation with an independent financial adviser and tap into their expert knowledge around investments and financial planning.
“It’s never too early to start planning for retirement so we believe this event will prove useful to people of all ages.”
During the open day, visitors to the branch are invited to speak to Wren’s advisers between 10.30am and 5.30pm. Refreshments will be available.
There is no charge for the event, appointments are not necessary and you don’t have to be an existing West Brom customer to attend. Some fees or charges may apply if action is taken after the initial review with an adviser.
Rachael added: “The advisers from Wren Sterling offer fully independent advice. They are not tied to any particular product provider, so can offer recommendations that are tailored to a customer’s specific needs.”
