Digital Developer

Location: Head Office, West Bromwich

Salary: Circa £40,000 per annum depending upon experience

A new opportunity has arisen for a Digital Developer to support the development of the Society’s digital offering.  This role will play a key role in supporting the Society’s ongoing strategic objective of digital enablement.  This is a great opportunity for the right individual looking to develop further or seeking a new challenge in their career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop solutions with the support and guidance of the digital and architecture teams
  • Writing clean, functional code on the front and back-end, maintaining security best practices
  • Develop new code in response to business requirements, support testing of code releases, resolve technical issues
  • Working with the wider digital team you will see applications through from idea to implementation
  • Support the business in prototyping solutions, working with the wider digital and research team to understand whether solutions should be progressed
  • Identify opportunities to use our existing architecture/solutions to provide further customer enhancements

Skills & Attributes

  • Ideally educated to degree standard or equivalent
  • High level of technical knowledge with the ability to build real world solutions to solve customer problem
  • As a full stack developer possess experience of building applications end-to-end
  • Ideally 4+ years experience in a commercial development environment
  • HTML & CSS, Bootstrap, Javascript, ASP.NET MVC
  • Use and creation of web services (RESTful API’s)
  • Enthusiasm for sharing knowledge and working in a multi-disciplinary
  • High degree of personal motivation and initiative
