What is the UK GDPR?

The UK GDPR stands for the UK General Data Protection Regulation. The aim of the UK GDPR, is to be used in conjunction with the Data Protection Act 2018 to protect individuals personal data from misuse, loss, exposure to risk or any data breaches. This is done by setting out the ways in which organisations can process your personal data and what steps they must take to ensure it is protected.

The UK GDPR also gives you more control over how your data is used, by giving you a number of specific rights in relation to the control of your personal data. More information can be found on the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) website.
