The West Brom is taking to the road this weekend, setting up a pop-up branch in Redditch’s Kingfisher Shopping Centre to help people with mortgage queries and offer savings advice.
Branch manager David Peckham and colleagues will be stepping out from behind the counter for the day on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 March.
Along with offering tips on applying for a mortgage, explaining some of the jargon and helping people work out what they can afford, there will also be advice on making the most of tax free savings such as ISAs.
Visitors to the stand will have the opportunity to enter a prize draw to win £500 in shopping vouchers.
David said: “Taking on a mortgage is one of the biggest financial commitments that anyone can make, yet some find the process and even the language involved a bit of a maze.
“For the first time we will be setting up a roving advice centre and hope to unravel some of the mysteries for people, whether they are customers of the West Brom or not.”
The West Brom is a leading provider of financial products and services, notably savings, investments and mortgages. The Society has 37 branches across Birmingham and the Black Country, including one on Evesham Walk in Redditch town centre.
