Society staff will be getting into the Christmas spirit this week as they prepare to host a series of cake and coffee days in support of mental health charity The Kaleidoscope Plus Group.
West Brom branches across the West Midlands, Shropshire and mid-Wales are putting on their individual ‘Cake and kindness’ events this Friday (1 December).
All proceeds will go towards Sandwell-based Kaleidoscope Plus, which is the West Brom’s nominated charity for the year and aims to promote and support positive health and wellbeing.
Paul Hancox, the West Brom’s Head of Branches, said: “Kaleidoscope is a charity close to all our hearts and we hope our customers will show their generosity by popping in for a slice of cake and a cuppa and helping us raise a seasonal sum for this very worthy cause.
“With Christmas only a few weeks away, it’s a lovely way to generate a little festive spirit while taking a moment to think about the difficulties and challenges faced by others.”
Monica Shafaq, Chief Executive of The Kaleidoscope Plus Group, said: “The staff and customers of the West Brom have already given us fantastic support and we can’t thank the branch teams enough for providing further backing with this Christmas initiative.
“Any financial support we receive is invaluable and enables us to continue providing the very best care to our service users.”
Please note that the West Brom in Oswestry will be staging its cake and coffee day on Wednesday, 6 December. All other events are scheduled for Friday, 1 December.
