The West Brom pledges extra support for colleagues

The West Brom Building Society has pledged extra support to its colleagues in response to the rising costs of living.

Launched in June, The Financial Hardship Support Fund will give colleagues at the West Brom additional financial support for unexpected household payments should the need arise.

Sophie Pazzaglia, Divisional Director of HR at the Society, said: “At the West Brom, we place our people at the heart of what we do and we’re committed to supporting all aspects of their wellbeing.

“With the increasing demands being placed on everyone’s finances as the cost of living rises, when the challenge of unexpected costs hits we can suddenly find ourselves in difficult circumstances. That’s why the Financial Hardship Support Fund exists – to offer our people a one off contribution when they find themselves in difficult circumstances.

“This is part of our wider wellbeing offering, which includes access to a comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme for our colleagues and their families covering financial wellbeing, consumer issues, free counselling sessions and much more.”

The West Brom is the UK’s seventh largest building society and employs over 600 people.
