How to transfer your ISA to us
You can transfer an ISA from another bank or building society to a Cash ISA with the West Brom. If you haven't got a Cash ISA with us, you can open an account online and request to transfer your existing ISA in during your application.
We might ask you to complete an ISA transfer Letter of Authority form as part of your application, depending on the type of ISA you're transferring from.
You'll need to check the terms and conditions of your existing and new ISAs. These will tell you if there are any withdrawal restrictions or charges for transferring the ISA.
If you're transferring money paid in for the current tax year, you'll need to transfer the full amount. You can transfer part or all of the balance from previous tax years.
Once you've submitted your request, we'll get in touch with your current ISA provider and arrange the transfer into your new ISA.
If you transfer funds from an ISA yourself, your money will lose its tax-free status. So it's important to follow the ISA transfer process if you want to move your money from one ISA to another.
How long do ISA transfers take?
An ISA transfer typically takes up to:
- 15 working days if you're transferring a Cash ISA.
- 30 calendar days if you're transferring a Stocks and Shares ISA.
