Our Impact Report for 2025

By investing in grassroots projects, supporting vulnerable communities, and championing local initiatives, we intend to create brighter futures across the region. Take a look at the impact we’ve had in our local communities in 2025.

About us

West Bromwich Building Society Foundation was established in 2022 with the aim of supporting local communities and causes within the operating area of West Bromwich Building Society. The Foundation’s main aims are to support access to housing and relief of financial hardship through granting funding to local charities and organisations.

The objects of the Foundation are to support:

  • The promotion and provision of housing and rented accommodation in the interest of social welfare and relief of poverty.
  • The prevention and relief of financial hardship through improved financial wellbeing (by means of advancing education and training).
  • The advance of wellbeing within local communities.

One of the first steps out of financial hardship and into secure accommodation is having access to an appropriate wage, that’s why we’re proud to be an accredited Living Wage Funder.

Barnardo’s Gap Homes

We granted funding to support Barnardo’s to build 5 Gap Homes to provide safe, secure housing for young people leaving the care system. Having affordable and suitable accommodation can make a huge difference and help young people make a positive start to their adult life.
