In tune for branch celebration

VIDEO REPORT: Community event showcases the West Brom’s branch at the New Square Shopping Centre.

The West Brom hit the perfect note to celebrate the arrival of its new hometown branch, thanks to the support of leading Sandwell musicians.

The Society welcomed customers to its new premises in the New Square Shopping Centre, West Bromwich, and hosted a day of fun activities.

Among the attractions were performances from The People’s Orchestra, who displayed their musical talents playing songs from popular film scores and a very fitting rendition of ABBA’s hit single ‘Money, Money, Money’.

Walsall-based magician Owen Strickland also wowed people with an array of close-up tricks.

West Brom branch manager Pinda Kang said: “Moving to New Square is a major development for the building society and it was important that we highlighted it.

“There was a real buzz in and around the branch at the weekend for our special celebration day.

“We have only been open for a few weeks, but already there has been fantastic feedback on the location and accessibility, as well as our extended opening hours.

“It’s proving very popular with current and new customers alike.”

The new branch, which replaces the Society’s previous Dartmouth Square and 321 High Street sites, is situated close to Tesco and provides customers with improved accessibility and longer opening hours.

It features five counter points, two offices for private customer consultations and opens until 6pm, Monday to Saturday.
