Opening an account in branch
To open a branch account, you can pop into any of our branches. You'll need to bring some identification documents along with you.
Subject to our usual checks, we'll be able to open your account straight away.
Your passbook
Your passbook is a physical booklet that records activity on your account, like when you pay money in, make withdrawals, when you're paid interest and your account balance.
What to do if you've lost your passbook
If you've lost your passbook, or think it's been stolen - contact us and let us know straight away.
If you need to contact us outside of operating hours, call our dedicated voicemail service on 0121 796 7079. Leave your name and contact number, and we'll call you back the next working day.
We'll place a warning on your account so no withdrawals can be made until we've issued a new passbook. To do this, you'll need to complete a lost/stolen passbook form and provide some identification.
There's a standard charge of £10 for this service.
