West Brom is committed to making its products and services accessible to everyone, whether online, by phone or in our branches.

Our website is built to WAI standards for accessibility.

There are also some changes you can make to your own internet settings to make using our website suit your own requirements. These include:

Colours Fonts & Images:

In Internet Explorer:

  • Click on 'Tools' then 'Internet Options'. On the 'General' tab, click on 'Accessibility' and tick the options to permanently change fonts and colours.
  • If you'd like to select alternative fonts. Click on 'Tools', 'Internet Options', 'General' then 'Fonts'. Arial is generally easiest to read
  • To increase font sizes, click on 'View', 'Text Size' and select the size you want. 
  • To prevent images from appearing, click on 'Tools', then 'Internet Options'. On the 'General' tab, click on 'Advanced' and change the graphics options ('animations', 'videos', 'pictures' and 'images') to remove the ticks. Click on 'Apply' You may need to refresh the screen for changes to take effect.

In Netscape:

  • To change fonts, click on 'Appearance' then 'Font'
  • To change foreground and background colours, click on 'Appearance' then 'Colours'
  • To prevent images from, appearing, select 'Advanced' and reemove the tick from 'Automatically load images'

Branches

We regularly review our branch design and layout with accessibility in mind. There is an ongoing programme to improve access and facilities for people with disabilities.

The majority of our branches provide level access or ramps or assistance buttons at entrances. 

Where practical we provide accessible private interview facilities on the ground floor of our premises. These facilities are available for the provision of 'counter services' upon request.

Power-assisted entrance doors have been provided in some locations with proposals to extend the programme to other branch offices.

Leaflets

Leaflets and other printed materials are available in large print on request. Just let us know the information you wish to receive in large print, and we will arrange for it to be sent to you by post. To arrange for this service, please contact us or ask at your local branch. We will provide the large print documents by post as soon as possible.
