The Shape of Things to Come

Watch our special time-lapse video to see how work is progressing on the West Brom’s new HQ.

The West Brom’s new head office at Providence Place is shaping up for its completion by next spring when it will house around 500 building society staff.

Work on the 70,000 sq ft, five-storey structure is going well, with the 500-tonne steel frame now up and being fitted with concrete floors and staircases.  External wall cladding and windows will soon be installed by contractor Thomas Vale Construction, followed by internal block walls.

Progress on the project, which started last December, has become more apparent as the months have passed.  The next stages will see the roof constructed as well as external works such as drainage and buried electrical, gas and data services.

West Brom Chief Executive Jonathan Westhoff said: “It’s exciting to see our new head office taking shape.  It already looks an impressive structure and we’re pleased everything is on track for its completion next spring.

“It will be a fitting building to take the Society forward to continue to serve in the best interests of our members.”
