The West Brom is your building society. We are owned by and run solely in the interests of you and all our members. Understanding and responding to your needs is very much a priority for us which is why we are setting up a new Member Council.
Acting as a representative group, the Member Council will be made up of participants who are all members of the West Bromwich Building Society – and we are looking for between 12 and 15 people to join the Council from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences that truly represent the membership of the Society.
The purpose of the Council is to articulate the views of members directly to the Society's Board and management on specific Board and Society matters.
This is a unique opportunity for you to help us better understand the perspective of our members on key matters affecting the West Brom. As part of the Member Council, you will share your views and those of all of the membership back to the Society’s board and management.
To be part of the Council you will need to be at least 16 years old, have held either a savings or mortgage product with the West Brom for at least a year, be able to attend one Council meeting per quarter and preferably be available via email to access documentation.
You will be expected to attend all Council meetings, review and respond to all communications, contribute to Council discussions, participate on a voluntary basis and adhere to the Council's Terms of Reference and Code of Conduct.

Once we receive your application form, we will let you know as soon as possible if you have been shortlisted.
Shortlisted members will be invited to attend a meeting.
