What is the Member Council?

Acting as a representative group, the Member Council will be made up of participants who are all members of the West Bromwich Building Society – and we are looking for between 12 and 15 people to join the Council from a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences that truly represent the membership of the Society.

The purpose of the Council is to articulate the views of members directly to the Society's Board and management on specific Board and Society matters.

Why should I apply?

This is a unique opportunity for you to help us better understand the perspective of our members on key matters affecting the West Brom. As part of the Member Council, you will share your views and those of all of the membership back to the Society’s board and management.

What would I need to join?

To be part of the Council you will need to be at least 16 years old, have held either a savings or mortgage product with the West Brom for at least a year, be able to attend one Council meeting per quarter and preferably be available via email to access documentation.

What is expected of me?

You will be expected to attend all Council meetings, review and respond to all communications, contribute to Council discussions, participate on a voluntary basis and adhere to the Council's Terms of Reference and Code of Conduct.
