West Brom Nets a Winner in National Money Awards

Society scoops a Moneyfacts award for being the Best No Notice Account Provider.

The West Brom is celebrating after being named Best No Notice Account Provider in the annual Moneyfacts Awards.

The building society’s WeBSaveR account took first place in the category, while the West Brom was also shortlisted for four other awards including Best Building Society Savings Provider and Best Fixed Rate Mortgage Provider.

WeBSaveR is an easy access savings account operated through the internet.  It offers customers unrestricted access to their money at all times through unlimited withdrawals, plus a true rate of interest rather than one which is enhanced by a temporary bonus.

David Taylor, the West Brom’s Head of Products, said: “It is great to see the Society doing well in several categories for both savings and mortgage products.  Coming out top in our winning category against tough opposition shows we are really making our presence felt on the national stage.

“This performance gives the West Brom real confidence that customers are able to rely on us for the kind of products that are right for them.”

The Moneyfacts Awards are a highlight in the personal finance industry calendar.  Held at the Pavilion at the prestigious Tower of London, awards were presented by comedian and television presenter Hardeep Singh Kohli and Moneyfacts’ Publishing Director Sylvia Waycot.

Sylvia said: “The Moneyfacts Awards showcase providers which continue to demonstrate a firm commitment to quality and choice across a wide range of products, at a time when the sector's success and growth have never been more important."

As well as winning Best No Notice Account Provider, the West Brom received shortlistings for:

  • Best Short Term Fixed Rate Mortgage Provider
  • Best Longer Term Fixed Rate Mortgage Provider
  • Best Building Society Mortgage Provider
  • Best Building Society Savings Provider
