Mortgage team praised for five star service

The West Brom for intermediaries celebrates success in the Financial Adviser Service Awards.

The West Brom has received a top industry accolade for the quality of service it provides to mortgage brokers.

The Black Country based building society secured the coveted five star rating in this year’s Financial Adviser Service Awards in the category for mortgage lenders and packagers.

Recognised as the benchmark for industry service levels, the results of the Financial Adviser Service Awards are determined by direct feedback from the advisers themselves.

Measurement criteria include how well providers process new business, their product support, personal contact and the performance of their digital systems.

Richard Scott, the West Brom’s head of intermediaries, said: “While some applicants choose to deal directly with their chosen lender, many will make use of a mortgage broker in order to find the right deal. This is why our relationships with advisers and broker networks are so important, particularly given how competitive the current mortgage market is.

“To be recognised for our quality of service is extremely satisfying and the feedback we receive through the scheme, coupled with our own research, will help us to develop our intermediary proposition in the future.”

The Financial Adviser Service Awards were launched in 1991. In addition to mortgage lenders, there are also awards for providers of life, pensions and investment products.
