The West Brom has been hailed as one of the best financial institutions in the country for the service it provides to intermediaries who sell mortgages on its behalf.
The regional building society received a top five-star rating in the annual Financial Adviser Service Awards.
Based on direct feedback from more than 5,000 advisers, the awards offer an independent measurement of who is providing their intermediary partners with good service and who is not.
The results were announced at a ceremony held at London’s Natural History Museum.
The West Brom’s Head of Intermediaries Richard Scott said: “The intermediary market is vital for growing our mortgage business and ensuring that the West Brom’s products are readily accessible to a broad range of borrowers.
“Receiving independent verification from advisers that our service is considered first rate is immensely satisfying, not just for the Society’s intermediary team but all the business areas that contribute to creating and processing a mortgage application.
“It has only been four years since the West Brom resumed lending through intermediaries and to achieve a top rating in that time shows how committed everyone is to raising standards and driving through improvements.”
The West Brom is a leading provider of financial services, including savings, investments and residential mortgages. It has 446,000 members and is the seventh largest building society in the UK.
